Glens Falls is located in Warren County, at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountain Park.  The Adirondack Park was created in 1862 and encompasses over 6 million acres of land.  Almost half of the state park belongs to New York state and has been declared a "forever wild" nature preserve.

Dubbed "Hometown USA" in 1944 by Look Magazine, this upstate town offers plenty of cultural entertainment opportunities.  Local theatre, a symphony orchestra, children's or local history museums and art galleries provide visitors and residents with plenty of entertainment choices.

Glens Falls in conveniently located to New York City (3 ˝ hours to the south), Montreal Canada (3 hours to the north), Boston Massachusetts (4 hours to the east) and Niagara Falls (5 ˝ hours to the west).  Because of the close proximity Glens Falls has become a choice vacation destination for countless travelers.

Some of the more famous nearby local attractions include the Lake George region. Nestled along the 32 mile long lake you will find countless villages, towns and communities. At the heart of this area you will find the village of Lake George. Tree lined streets, museums, shops filled with local folk art and collectibles and a centrally located city park with large public beach await the vacation traveler. Lake George offers water skiing, boating, fishing, scuba diving and even parasailing; truly a water lover's paradise!
