Winter & Holiday Events and Activities

December | January | February | March

Winter in the Adirondacks brings so much to do, see, taste and experience.  Winter carnivals, ice sculpting contests, snow sporting events and much more await you.  Downhill and cross-country skiers will find this region of upstate New York is skiers paradise.  The Adirondacks also boast over 100 mountains at least 3000 feet high. The beauty of the Adirondacks is the perfect complement to an afternoon spent on skies!

Snowshoeing has grown in popularity due to the public demand for a sport that offers a great workout with a little more.  Snowshoers can choose to attack the terrain or to stroll through the beautiful Adirondacks and enjoy every moment.  Since the sport does not require an extensive amount of specialized equipment it can offer a great time for little cost.

Ice skating, snow sledding, horse drawn sleigh rides!  We've got it all!  Want more adventure; how about snowmobiling?  You'll find 100's of miles of groomed snowmobile trails that connect  Lake George, Lake Luzerne, Queensbury, and Glens Falls.  The Adirondacks trail system is growing at an incredible rate with over 1000 miles of new trails opening this year.   Many bed & breakfasts and Adirondack lodges are located just off the trails so that you can ride all day and rest comfortably at night.
